IWB? What is it? That is the first question in my mind when our moderator tell about IWB. She says it is interactive whiteboard. But how the whiteboard become interactive..When she first time show us how to use it, i feel shock how it work like large screen touch. How wonderful it is..

       An interactive whiteboard or IWB is a large interactive display that combines the simplicity of a whiteboard, power of a computer and front projection. Promethean interactive whiteboards engage students with vivid images, video and audio. The ActivBoard interactive whiteboard enables anything that can be seen or done on a computer screen to be projected onto an interactive whiteboard and bringing every classroom to life.

I think IWB are great classroom tools nowadays. The first reason is because it have own interactivity. The  ability to  interact with the activity is, for me, the most important feature of the boards. There are several aspects to this, the first, and probably most beneficial, is the ability to physically move things around on the screen. This is particularly useful when sorting and mind-mapping in teaching process. Students also can involve in learning process using this tool.  

Reading activities such as sorting or matching text and pictures or Cloze exercises can easily be developed. Maths is another subject where this ability is extremely useful. Students can classify objects, move them, resize them and rotate them. Students can also physically interact with the equipment on the screen. This aspect especially appeals to kinaesthetic learners and students can enjoy this feature.
